{color trend: deep blue}

February 19th, 2012 by Kelli

I don’t think that navy and deep blues are a go-to color for a lot of people. It never has been for me either, but I’ve been seeing it start to pop up all over the place, and I think it’s lovelier than I thought it would be.

It’s not too bright, but it still makes such a dramatic statement and there are so many colors that you can pair it with to put your own twist on it. It has great contrast against white, and even though I’m not much of a pink person, I think it looks fantastic against vibrant pinks. Have any of you ever used or thought about using so much blue in a space?

  1. Friend! You should be my interior designer – You have impeccable taste! I always LOVE your selections. I remember seeing one of my fave photogs blogs (Kacey Luvi) paint her dining room this deep navy, with a white chandelier and some grey accents and pink flowers and I was soon obsessed with this color! I bought that Navy shower curtain which is now hanging in our guest bath but it has earth-tone accents (because Joe wanted it a lil more manly) BUT one day I might play around with pink in a home. :) :) I think it’s so classy yet trendy!

  2. Thanks friend. I think some pinks would look awesome in that bathroom! Joe will get used to it :)
